Hey there anyone reading this, I'm Enrique, an IS101 (Introduction to Information Systems) student currently in college majoring in cyber security. This blog is unfortunately a required assignment throughout the semester for this class, so have fun listening to random ramblings involving some kind of business level communications for Microsoft Office.
1st Impressions. So far ok. I've taken this class once before, dropped it for personal reasons, but still got some kind of a grasp of the basics. I kinda wish the formatting for this one were a little more straightforward but hopefully I get into the groove of things soon enough. Just hoping to do my best in the coming months and hopefully leave this class with that certification.
1.4.2 security risks This node in the book goes over common security practices, such as windows firewall and various kinds of anti-virus. I know some of the rest of the nodes in 1.4 also go over other security risks such as social engineering attacks and things of the like. This is something I deal with regularly in my current field of study. It was touched on briefly in my Network+ course, as well as during my high school education in my CyberSec classes. Basic internet safety is also just something I passively taught myself, looking things up online and trying to keep my digital footprint small.
